Today I re-visit Utsanati to collect temperature data and check on the status of the trail cameras I set up on the previous 2 visits and I find that the camera has recorded some reptilian wildlife activity!

As I stated in the previous videos: although I have been tracking the rattlesnakes snakes since late 2011 I have yet to discover their exact access locations at their dens and the dates of ingress/egress for theses secretive reptiles. In the hopes of answering these questions I have decided to set up a trail camera over two of the possible entrances of Utsanati's hibernaculum in preparation for his emergence in a few weeks.

Snake Tracks is an Timber Rattlesnake conservation and research project occurring near Earthshine Discovery Center in the mountains of western North Carolina, USA. Through the magic of modern technology and allot of hard volunteer work by a wildlife conservationist and his small crew of volunteers, glimpse into the lives of two wild Timber rattlesnakes in their natural habitats.
